Coven of Bad Witches

Aloha mai, and welcome back to this cozy corner of magick and connection! This week, I've been reflecting deeply on the essence of a witch’s coven and why it’s so meaningful to create spaces for us mystics and witches to *hui*, to gather in sacred community. Watching “Agatha All Along” has stirred a longing in me—a desire for a space where we can come together, honor each other’s gifts, and feel seen and safe in our most magical, unfiltered selves. Seeing Lilia, the divination witch, reclaim her power and bond with her coven brought me to tears. It reminded me of our deep need for connection and the strength that emerges when we honor each other’s magick.

For those of us carrying the "witch’s wound"—the inherited trauma from times of persecution or isolation—this longing for a coven feels even more poignant. There’s a part of us that’s scared to be seen yet craves the kinship, knowing there is strength and healing in shared space. A coven offers more than ritual and magick; it’s a circle where everyone’s unique energy is celebrated, where we can hold space for each other’s journeys and support one another as we grow in our gifts.

I’ve been pondering how to bring this vision into reality, to create a gathering space for those of us who seek that deep, soulful connection. Maybe it’s through monthly coven meetings, virtual circles, or themed rituals where we can dive into collective intention-setting, shadow work, or simply revel in each other’s presence. I haven’t landed on the “how” just yet, but sharing this here feels like the first step.

This blog space has become a sanctuary where I can explore these dreams and thoughts, knowing that they might resonate with others who are seeking the same sense of community and belonging. For me—and perhaps for you—a coven isn’t just about magick; it’s about being in a space where we can all be our weirdest, most magical selves together.
