Aries Full Moon

Aloha mai, and welcome back to my little mystical corner of the interwebs! This week, I’m shifting gears into some astrology to break down the energy of the Aries full moon—the first Aries full moon in 2.5 years that isn’t under the influence of eclipse energy. This full moon peaks on Thursday, October 17th, and brings a fresh start that Aries and the other cardinal signs have been working hard for. But before we can fully embrace this new beginning, we need to release whatever is holding us in place and take that leap forward, no matter how uncertain or intimidating the path may seem.

To understand this energy better, let’s dive into Aries. Ruled by Mars, the planet of war, passion, and drive, Aries influences the collective to stand firmly—ten toes down—on the hill they’ve chosen to defend. This energy often makes people more determined to prove their point, sometimes without considering other perspectives. You might notice a shift where everyone seems a little more argumentative, each person convinced they’re right.

So, if you've been feeling like you're ready to swing on someone, you can probably blame it on the Aries full moon! (But, of course, don’t actually do it—just know that’s the vibe in the air.)

For the past 2.5 years, Aries and Libra energies have heavily influenced eclipse seasons, asking us to balance our personal relationships with our egos, desires, and goals. This period has been all about purging the relationships that no longer serve us and making space to fully settle into our own power.

With this full moon marking the start of a new cycle—especially for Aries and the other cardinal signs—I want you to take a moment to reflect on how much you've grown in your relationships. How have you changed when it comes to expressing your opinions or influencing others? What do you feel needs to be released, and what needs to be strengthened or called in as you move forward? This clarity will help you step into the next phase with intention.

Alternatively, stepping into this new cycle might leave you feeling stuck or hesitant to take that leap forward. If you find yourself in freeze mode, unsure or afraid of what’s ahead, know that this is completely normal. There’s nothing wrong with you! Fear and uncertainty always accompany new journeys.

In these moments, I encourage you to focus on where in your body you’re feeling that stuck or stagnant energy. Is it in your chest? Your gut? What emotions come up when you address it? Chances are, there’s some shadow work to be done—old emotions or fears that need to be acknowledged and released.

Here’s a simple ritual to help:

Take a piece of paper and write down all the fears and emotions that are keeping you stuck. Don’t hold anything back. Be specific—what exactly are you afraid of? Why does it make you feel frozen? What shadow emotions are surfacing? Once you’ve poured everything onto the paper, fold it up away from you, and (safely!) burn it. As the paper burns and shrinks to ash, visualize that stagnant energy dissipating. When it’s fully burned, blow the ashes away, and notice how much lighter and more ready you feel to take action.

This full moon energy is powerful, and it’s here to push you forward—so embrace it with an open heart and a clear mind. And if you want 1:1 help, schedule an energy consultation with me!

With love and lunar magic,

Alohilani
