Jupiter in Leo: What This Transit Is Teaching Me About Self, Identity & Trust
Aloha and welcome back to my little corner of the interwebs!
My, my, has it been a long time. I just looked back at my last blog post and realized it was back in February of this year. FEBRUARY! I feel like I’ve lived so many lives since then. It’s been a wild ride, but honestly? I absolutely love who I am becoming.
As you can probably tell from the title of this blog, Jupiter moved into Leo in June, and let me tell you how this big planet of growth and expansion has been affecting my 1st house of self, identity, and ego.
I’m a Leo rising, so Jupiter moving into Leo means it’s moving through my 1st house, bringing a lot of attention to who I am, how I see myself, and how I show up in the world.
And let me tell you… I’ve been feeling it.
Jupiter in Cancer: The Inner Work Before the Glow-Up
Before Jupiter moved into Leo, it was traveling through Cancer and moving through my 12th house, which is associated with the unseen and hidden aspects of the psyche, our inner world, subconscious patterns, spirituality, and the things we often keep tucked away from everyone, including ourselves.
So, for the time Jupiter was moving through my 12th house, I found myself expanding my awareness of my blind spots, my emotions, and the parts of myself I had unconsciously kept hidden.
There were lots of revelations. Lots of unearthing deeply buried fears. Lots of energetic cords coming to the surface that I didn’t even realize were still attached.
This wasn’t exactly an easy transit, but it was necessary.
I needed to get to know myself on a deeper level and build that inner foundation before I could step into this next cycle of expansion.
I think of it as doing the work behind the scenes before stepping onto the stage.
Jupiter in my 12th house helped me understand what was happening beneath the surface. Now that Jupiter has moved into my 1st house, I’m being asked to take all of that inner work and actually embody it.
Not just understand it.
Not just talk about it.
Not just pull a tarot card about it.
Actually live it.
The Shift I’ve Been Feeling Since Jupiter Entered Leo
Since the end of June, I’ve felt a noticeable shift in myself and in how I present myself to the world.
I’ve been learning so much in my new job and taking on new things, which also meant I was constantly getting things wrong.
And one of the things I hate most as an Aquarius is… making mistakes.
😂
I want to understand the bigger picture, move quickly, figure things out, and keep it moving. But that can also mean I don’t always want to get into the nitty-gritty details.
Aquarius energy can be detached and future-focused. We can move so quickly toward the bigger picture that sometimes we accidentally skip the easier steps along the way.
So my first big lesson with Jupiter in Leo has been learning that it’s okay to make mistakes.
It’s completely human.
I had to let go of my perfectionist expectations and learn to be flexible when things didn’t go the way I wanted them to.
And honestly?
The way the heavens seemed to open up once I finally understood and embodied this was wild.
My 11:11 Moment: Stop Performing for Validation
This brings me to another little synchronicity.
I saw an astrology post about Leo risings and how we need to embrace the cringe and stop performing for validation.
It was basically a permission slip to stop trying to perform the version of myself I thought other people wanted to see and start getting comfortable with my actual self.
The way that post resonated with my soul…
And then I looked at the time.
11:11.
Okay, universe. I got the message loud and clear!
That’s when I knew I needed to share this revelation here.
The growth and expansion happening within me right now is asking me to transform the way I relate to myself.
I can either hold on tightly to everything I’ve built, desperately trying to control how it looks and where it goes…
Or I can let go and trust.
Trust myself.
Trust my path.
Trust that everything is always working out for me.
Trust that I don’t need to have every single answer before I take the next step.
And yes, I want to believe that the universe bends to my will.
Not because I think I can control every single thing that happens, but because I’m finally learning to trust that whatever happens, I will be able to meet it.
I stopped forcing.
I started trusting.
I’ve been working on this for years, but this year feels different.
This is the year I’m actually embodying it.
Tarot, Trust & Letting Go of the Need to Know
As someone who relies heavily on my tarot cards, this has been a particularly interesting lesson.
I’ve had to let go of the fear around not knowing.
And if you’re a fellow tarot girlie, you might understand exactly what I mean.
Sometimes we can use tarot to seek reassurance over and over again because we desperately want to know what’s coming next.
Is this going to work out?
What are they thinking?
What happens if I do this?
What happens if I don’t?
Show me what I need to know!
But eventually, you have to learn how to trust yourself without needing to pull another card.
For me, this has meant building trust in my highest path and knowing that every situation I experience is a step toward exactly where I need to be.
I’m learning to shake off the fear of being wrong.
The fear of looking cringe.
The fear of not having the answer.
And instead, I’m building that feeling of trust within myself until it becomes part of my identity.
That’s what Jupiter in the 1st house feels like for me so far.
It isn’t just about becoming more visible.
It’s about becoming more me.
And if this is what I’ve experienced in just the first couple of months of this transit, I’m even more excited to see what unfolds as Jupiter continues moving through Leo.
I’m going to use this blog post as a little time capsule to look back on, and I encourage you to do the same.
Write yourself a letter.
Write down what you’re calling in.
Write down who you’re becoming.
Then put it somewhere safe and forget about it.
Leave it somewhere you’ll stumble across it a year or two from now.
Because there is something incredibly powerful about looking back at an older version of yourself and realizing, holy shit… I actually became her.
So, What Area of Your Life Is Jupiter Expanding?
If you’re still here, I want to help you figure out where you might be experiencing your own Jupiter growth and expansion.
The easiest place to start is by looking at which house Leo occupies in your natal chart.
The house tells you where the energy is playing out in your life.
For example, because I’m a Leo rising, Leo is my 1st house. That means Jupiter moving through Leo is expanding themes around my identity, appearance, self-expression, confidence, independence, and the way I show up in the world.
But if you have Leo in your 4th house, your Jupiter in Leo story might be much more focused on home, family, ancestry, emotional foundations, or creating a new sense of belonging.
If Leo falls in your 10th house, you might experience expansion around your career, public image, reputation, or life direction.
And if Leo falls in your 7th house?
Well, babe… we might need to talk about relationships. 👀
Take a look at your natal chart and find the house where Leo lives.
Then, read through the themes below and ask yourself:
Where am I being invited to grow?
Where am I being asked to become more visible?
Where am I being encouraged to stop performing and start embodying?
Where can I trust myself a little more?
